  1. This is my first time purchasing a tablet, ever, so I’m not exactly tech savvy with this. I’ve done some research and have looked into multiple different tablets… including the Nexus 7 or 10, Samsung Note 10.1, Kindle Fire HDX, iPad Air, Asus Transformer, etc… I want to buy her a tablet for Christmas but I’m not sure which one suits her better.

She will mainly be using a tablet for things like Netflix, Hulu Plus, games, Manga apps (Japanese comic book readers), and most importantly… Emulators! Such as Emulators for PS, N65, NES, Gameboy, DS, etc.

She is also familiar and comfortable with Google Play.

I was thinking of getting her the iPad, but she’s an Android person. The Kindle Fire HDX seems really nice, but she doesn’t read books and I’m not familiar with the Amazon Marketplace, so I’m not sure what kind of apps they have to offer. I’ve also read that you’d have to root it to be able to use Emulators, which is something she wouldn’t want to do. My friend recommended me the Galaxy Note 10.1 but I’ve read many reviews complaining on its sluggishness, aaand it’s pretty expensive. Ahhh! I don’t know!

What tablet do you guys think is best for my fiance based on what she would be using it for? Feel free to name ones I haven’t listed, like I said I’m not savvy with this kind of stuff :(

    Thanks!
