How to unlock the Android Pattern Lock

As we all know that Android have an amazing Pattern Lock feature which is quite helpful cause its kind of hasty and difficult to remember password combinations:numbers,alphabets etc.User have the liberty to set any pattern lock.With this advantage of easy lock screen there could be some demerit like what if you forgets your pattern which many of the android users face or you have tried a lot of patterns and the device is locked permanently for 5-10 minutes and you need to use the phone urgently.No need to worry here are the couple of solutions:

Solution 1:-Using Google Account

First solution is the most easiest way of  bypass the lock screen.When you have entered wrong pattern for 5 times,it will show you Forgot Lock Password option,all you need to do is to enter your Google account username and password and you are good to go.

Solution 2:-Using Command prompt in PC

But what if you even dont remember your google account too,no need to worry,here is the second solution:

In this one you need to run some script in you command prompt which will allow any pattern to open it.I know these scripting methos is not quite easy but its the most effective

Step1:Connect your device to PC

Step2:Run cmd as an administrator

Step3:Now type in the following code exactly as it is and the press enter

adb shell
cd /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases
sqlite3 settings.db
update system set value=0 where name='lock_pattern_autolock';
update system set value=0 where name='lockscreen.lockedoutpermanently';
.quit

Step4:Now you will see following message.Restart your phone and now when it will ask for pattern to unlock,just enter any pattern and voila!

Step5:If that does not works,use following instead of the code

adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key

Solution 3:Using Hard Reset

Hard Reset is the in built function of fctory resetting the device but this will also remove all the user related content so using this methos is not much recommended unless you dont have any other option.

Step1:Turn off your phone

Step2:Look for key combinations to go to boot menu of your phone on google .Eg: for Nexus 7 its pressing “Volume Up + Volume Down + Power” all together

Step3:You will Android Recovey Screen.

Step4:User volume keys to navigate up and down and look for option Wipe data/factory reset,press power button to select it.and then select yes.

  1. Okay first, I put an android lock for my iphone and i remember the pattern and everything (100% sure) but it won’t let me in. My iphone 4 is not factory unlocked and is jailbroken so if I restore it, would the jailbreak go and would my sim card work fine?

  2. For instance swipe the 3 dots on the right and unlock to main scree, the 3 dots on the left and get music app, middle dots get phone, diagonal gets text, square gets email. But custom patterns and app selection.

    I found one on some website but its not compatible with my Galaxy S3 and its not a pattern lock.

  3. Today my phone went crazy and i got locked out of my droid bionic. I had to log into my phone with my gmail password and now it won’t let me reset my lock screen to a pattern unlock. How do i get it back?
