John Hunter Nemechek has proven his value in competitive NASCAR equipment. Where will he end up competing in the 2022 season?

John Hunter Nemechek made the gamble to drop down two series after only his rookie season in the NASCAR Cup Series last year with Front Row Motorsports, and that is a gamble that has paid off.

Nemechek reunited with Toyota and now drives the #4 Toyota for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Truck Series, and he has had incredible success in doing so, winning five of the season’s first 16 races and solidifying himself as the man to beat for the 2021 championship.

Where will the 24-year-old Mooresville, North Carolina end up competing in the 2022 season?

Possible John Hunter Nemechek landing spots: No. 1 – Kyle Busch Motorsports

Kyle Busch said before the 2021 season began that the ideal situation for Kyle Busch Motorsports would be to have a Matt Crafton-type of guy competing full-time for wins and championships year in and year out, and he believed John Hunter Nemechek could be that guy.

Nemechek has proven capable of being that guy. Stats speak for themselves, and there is one stat that really stands out about his season so far. We all know how much Busch likes competing in five Truck Series races per season — winning many of them, of course.

He did the same thing this season, but he only managed to win twice. He finished in second place in all three of his other starts, and in all three of those starts, he finished behind Nemechek.

Busch hates losing, but definitely not enough to not want to re-sign the guy who keeps beating him. The question is, will Nemechek want to be back if he gets another opportunity elsewhere?
