Doncaster Rovers v Newcastle United with minimum 9 players missing as 3,000+ fans travel

It is Doncaster Rovers v Newcastle United tonight.

Steve Bruce and his players travelling to the Keepmoat Stadium for a 7pm kick-off in their next friendly, with over 3,000 fans travelling down in the first official NUFC away following in 16 months.

This follows a really poor performance that ended in a 1-0 defeat to sixth tier York City on Sunday.

Doncaster Rovers finished fourteenth in League One last season but it remains to be seen just how strong a team they can put out.

A large number of first team players have been self isolating and only returned to training on Thursday (yesterday), in their absence manager Richie Wellens (pictured above) having to use a large number of trialists in recent friendlies.

As for Newcastle United, it appears they will be relying on these 18  first team squad members: Ciaran Clark, Paul Dummett, Federico Fernandez, Ryan Fraser, Dwight Gayle, Isaac Hayden, Jeff Hendrick, Joelinton, Jamaal Lascelles, Jamal Lewis, Matty Longstaff, Sean Longstaff, Javier Manquillo, Jacob Murphy, Yoshinori Muto, Matt Ritchie, Allan Saint-Maximin, Callum Wilson

Whilst in goal, 20 year old Dan Langley is set to stand in once again with all four senior keepers unavailable.

Younger players Kelland Watts, Max Thompson, Will Brown, Tom Allan, Oisín McEntee and Jack Young have all been training with the first team squad this week in advance of tonight’s match.
